Hikaru Shidou

Hikaru: I LOVED this costume, even though I had to wear the SILLIEST BIG WHITE BOW on my chest.  The boots were really fun too, and I didn't want to take off the braid!  I even found an Eagle, but i really wanted a cute Lantis, but there weren't any.  And i got to hold Mokona, and accidentally turned him Pink from my braid!  My skirt was interesting since i asked my sister to get it, and she got a VERY tiny one.  thank god it had shorts underneath.  oh, and while we were standing in line to register, i realized (with help from the other knights) that i was sweating red down my forehead from the hair dye!  but it was so fun, i felt like a celebrity so many people wanted our pictures!

She really did look like Hikaru, even though she was taller than all of us, but that's okay! I loved her braid, i wanted to touch it a lot. It really looked like her real hair! She held Mokona the whole time because we were asked to take sooooo many pictures! We saw ourselves like 5 times, in each different outfit from the series! That was a little creepy, but awesome nonetheless! We even saw a big Mokona walking around! Yay Mokona! 

She certainly got into character.  And a comment from an admirer: No hideous red wig!  We were taking bets on who had the shortest skirt.  She won (but only by like an inch! grr...).  What's the secret to her fabulous boots, you may ask?  Boy's baseball pants.  No!  She is not some kiddie clothing thief!  She bought them at a store, did not steal them.  But yeah, she needed to shrink a bit.

Umi Ryuuzaki

Umi: I AM UMI! haha, but i loved being in costume as Umi.  It was so much fun posing as the knights as well. I felt very famous when people were shouting our names out to get a picture! We couldn't even get into the convention before we were stopped for a picture by a crazy fan who's favorite character was our lovely Hikaru! My shoulder pad kept falling off, and my boots were rolling down alot, but it was awesome anyway! At least i found an Ascot, a shy one too! But i will always remember being Umi, i mean... i am Umi! 

The wig looked great, and the anger built up by the faulty shoulder pad worked miracles for characterization.  She certainly loved all the gold string on her costume (can you feel the sarcasm just oozing from that statement?).  She was lucky though - lightest weight costume of the three (no sweat stains!).  And the...boots...if they can be called boots, kicked major booty.  Yes, they did.  Even if you did hate them, Umi-san!

Definitly Umi, no question, and she was the only one with the right hair color.  Even though she almost glued the boots to herself and nearly stabbed herself to death sewing on the first attempt at boots, the costume was great.  And my school skirt looked better on her than it ever did on me.  She also kept us clear on what form of the costumes we were doing- anime or manga, and every little detail was looked over carefully by our Umi so we looked as good as we did!

Fuu Hououji

Fuu: Stupid boots.  Stupid glasses.  Overly hot Jacket.  But it got me a hot pic with Ferio, so it was all worth it.  The skirt was a miracle last minute project of my mother's when we found that there are NO GREEN PLEATED SKIRTS in existance.  My parental unit M.O.M. was about to kill me when she found out I spent $30 on a white shirt.  I think I still have imprints from the glasses left on my nose.  But in the pictures, it looked great, so the suffering was well worth it.  My biggest problem (other than the boot covers, which would not stay up for ANYTHING) was the fact that if I moved in the slightest, I would flash someone (yeah, Hikaru's skirt was shorter, but she had shorts underneath!).  I loved the costume though.  I had major problems staying in character.  I was a very P.M.S.ing Fuu.  Just a bit too loud.

She totally looked like Fuu, (even if she got just a little out of character every now and then!), and the boots were a great find at Goodwill.  And i liked spraying her hair gold!  there's also a very cute picture that i took randomly of her in line, and she looks so mych like Fuu its scary, what with the glasses and simpering smile (the picture WILL be uploaded soon!).  She even found her Ferio, a very cute man, and it sucks that the picture came out fuzzy!  And her armor came out really great considering that she did it the night before at midnight and the gold had to dry in less than twelve hours! 

Yay for being a small fuu! haha, but she really did look like her.  Glasses and everything!  Though it was pretty funny that the sword guy commented on our different sizes for Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu... oh well, we were the ones that actually look liked the Magic Knights. Also a YAY for procrastinating on our outfits! GO MAGIC KNIGHTS!

Seras Victoria: Same painful boots as Fuu.  The hair didn't turn out quite as I wanted, but at least the costume was comfortable (other then when I was stuck in line outside in the blistering hot sun for 1.5 hours).  I forgot my belt!  Gaah!  But hey, I felt like Seras, and that's all that matters.  Besides, I got to lick a bloody knife.  None of the other Seras' did!  The costume itself was made mostly the night before the con.  My parental unit stayed up til 6 working on it, then woke up 2 hours later to do more.  Oh, and there were a lot of absolutely gorgeous Andersons there.  You can slice me with a blessed blade any day!

I'm so glad i got to walk around with the only non-depressed Seras at the whole convention.  And her shoes were the only ones that actually looked like the real ones.  I had fun dying her hair red, too, and hopefully we won't get a bill from the hotel for the A.) Wall that is blue, B.) bloody towels (literally), C.) five+ towels dyed red and blue, D.) bathroom shower cutrain dyed red.  hey, maybe they won't notice.

Yay for Vampires! Too bad the fangs didn't stay in! At least we got to see a lot of Alucards... oh yeah... Alucard! Yeah, the dying (haha vampires! dying!) experience was a very interesting one!

Pictures Others Took:

Sango: I loved being Sango! Everyone else... also loved Sango! I felt so popular and famous! The outfit was sooo comfortable, though the one part of my armor was falling down a lot and the back part of my armor i lost in the taxi BEFORE the convention! But it's okay, because Seras and Sakura helped me tie a Miroku plushie to my butt! I got many pictures with lovely Mirokus, (yay for hot ones!) and a little too many people took a picture of me!  My Hiraikotsu was fun to carry around, but it was hard in crowds, i hit many many people, and we had to borrow a lot of duct tape. Many people came up to me and told me i had the best Sango outfit and that i looked like her! That made me soo happy!

She was so popular that Sakura and I became the second and third wheels on a unicycle!  It was all good though.  She was the only one with all the pads, the sword, and a correctly sized hiraikotsu.  I'm jealous about one thing - she got groped by a lot of hot houshis.

Go third parties!  Yes, that is what it is like to walk around with a bonafida Sango all day.  But she deserved to be popular, considering all the work and blood she put into the costume.  But the best part happened after the convention, when we went to get food and she had to go to the bathroom at a rest stop with tons of people walking around.  We had to help her take the shoulder pads off, get her into the bathroom, watch red stuff fly up onto the top of the door, and then stand around for another ten minutes in our own costumes while she stripped.  Ten minutes after that, once she was rested we helped her out and got food.  I wish we had gotten paid for all the looks we got!

Sakura Haruno:  All i can say is i made Julie jealous by having a Kakashi (a hot one, nonetheless) ask me to take a picture with him!  The costume was relatively easy, and i bought a forehead protector at the convention so i didn't have to wear my tinfoil one.  i was the only one with short hair, but i also "forgot" my hot pink hair dye, so i was a brunette Sakura.  not many Naruto's were there, but i got to hug one, and i say the Naruto photoshot, but got there late because of a very talkative samurai guy, so all i could do was look (alright, i was too shy to actually go in it).  My favorite part was the sandals covered with nylon stockings.  they were comfy and looked awesome!

I LOVE KAKASHI!!! Yes i was jealous, but later i got a picture and a hug from a hot one, so i was happy! Shiris looked like Sakura, without pink hair, the "oops i forgot it" i didn't buy it! (I didn't have enough pink in the can anyway!) There were a lot of clones of Sakura, or of any Naruto character for that matter, but she was the best!

I think our dear Sakura was still stuck in Hikaru mode while in this costume.  However, even without the hair dye (lazy), she looked the part.  I'm just sorry I didn't have a bow to use her for target practice.  She certainly had the inner Sakura look down for pictures (when asked....how many times?  1?  2?  maybe even 3...).  But she and I knew we rocked anyway.
