Melfina
Melfina: Yay for a costume that was almost comfortable! I was so happy to be able to run around in socks. Though, yet again, the skirt was...ugh...short. Hair...the hair was such a pain. I wnet through so many hair dyes to get it even close. In the end, glue was the saving grace (but I was picking it out of my hair for a week!).
Melfina! She had a great blue robe thing that Melfina wears! She really looked like her! Even though her hair didn't turn out the way she exactly wanted... hey glue helps! yay for One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish tie that Scott loves! (^_^)
She was a GREAT Melfina! The robe was so great, and it was hnady for cuddling up into when she sat on the floor waiting in line! And she worked so hard on the hair, the towels and floor and sink in the bathroom can prove that! And it was funny when she by accident brought the wrong kool-ais to dye blue highlights into her hair! She had that demure look down too, which was very Melfina, especially with that tiny smile. AWESOME!
Aisha Clan Clan
Aisha Clan Clan: I loved being Aisha! The outfit came out pretty damn good! I made mostly everything on my body (Except the pants which are actually running tights!) The dress was a little riding up my body for some reason. The boots were the most annoying part because they kept falling apart for no apparent reason! My chest armor was slipping a little! I'm glad that my bell turned out okay since I was unsure about how it looked. My cape was the first part done in my outfit, if anyone saw the progress pictures back from last summer! haha! Now the wig was interesting, being that I almost completely ruined it, the wig actually turned out pretty good, even the braid wasn't too bad! People were friendly and gave hugs and took pictures, which is always nice! Outlaw Star rocks!!! I also won a "Great Cosplay" ribbon for my work on this costume! yay I feel happy! (^_^)
The outfit was SO awesome! So many people came up to her and said how great an Aisha she made, and how perfect the costume was! I really liked how the hair turned out, the braid looked so real! The bell was fun too! the boots were so cool looking, even if they did fall off, and she spent A LOT of time wrapping them. Her legs were about to fall off she was so tired of holding them up! And you know it's a good costume when you can attract foxes with it!
What can I say about our dear Aisha? She looked great! And the wig turned out really well. SO many people loved her, it was awesome. She loves being loved. You can ask her yourself. Though I think she wanted to kill her boots. But that's okay, because the problems were worth it with all the compliments!
Twilight Suzuka
Twilight Suzuka: This was so much fun to make! I made the robe totally from scrath, which was...interesting, but it turned out so well! I really like the purple on the bottom and the long, open sleeves. The wig gave me the most trouble, since I wanted the bangs to spike up like they do in the pictures, but that proved to be impossible. But i got it to work eventually. The bokuton was really a painted tiki torch, one of the ones you stick in the backyard and light, and I actually used my mom's meat-cutting knife to saw off the top and bottom (which she didn't really appreciate!). and it was the first time I got to wear make-up, which was fun. the gloves were cool too. this was one of my favorite costumes to make!
Suzuka!!!!! She had an awesome outfit - and it looked comfy too *grr*. And the wig (despite her complaints) looked great. She even kept her facial expressions accurate (though I could tell she had trouble not cracking a smile). Hooray for assassins!
yay Suzuka! She looks so awesome in her outfit! Making that wonderful robe (It was sooo cool looking!!) and when she sewed the sleeve together... what a wonderful site to she her soooo pissed off! :P (You know you love me!) Anyway, yeah even though some people forgot the name of the character, she still got hugs! Everyone loved us! Again she worked so hard and it turned out so awesome!
